Hi, I’m Laura Guidry.

The Lettered Shell Supper Club is a private chef experience rooted in seasonality, storytelling, and coastal heritage. Named for the lettered olive shells I used to collect on North Carolina beaches—rare little treasures that felt like magic when found—this business is my way of creating similarly intimate, unforgettable moments through food.

I’ve cooked for retreats, private dinners, and small events, always with a focus on seasonal menus that evoke strong memories for the people eating. I bring four years of experience in nonprofit development and event planning, where I worked on everything from intimate events to large-scale galas. That same care, intention, and attention to detail comes through in every meal I cook—whether it's for you and a loved one in your home, your family’s weekly meals or a special gathering you want to remember.

I spent six years living full-time in an Airstream and traveling the country, cooking in my small tin-can kitchen along the way. My cooking is influenced by my Cajun roots, the ingredients of coastal North Carolina where I grew up, and Southern California where I live now.

I’m a writer exploring how food and memory connect us. You can follow along for cooking stories, and more of my work in my newsletter, Following Studies.

Based in Carlsbad, CA, The Lettered Shell Supper Club is available for private chef work across Southern California.
